Here’s How You Can Help Hurricane Laura Victims
Hurricane Laura has caused catastrophic damage on the Louisiana coast, the strongest storm to hit the area in more than 150 years.Sustained winds of over 120 miles an hour were measured in Lake Charles, Louisiana as Laura made landfall early Thursday morning.
The easiest way for you to help the victims of Hurricane Laura is to make a donation to the American Red Cross. You can donate at the Red Cross website. Donations can also be made by calling the Red Cross at 1-800-HELP-NOW, and the Red Cross also accepts donations made via Amazon Alexa--all you have to do is say, "Alexa, make a donation to the American Red Cross."
The American Red Cross is a leader in disaster relief worldwide. The Red Cross was on the ground in Tuscaloosa after the city was devastated by an EF4 tornado, providing food, housing assistance, and clearing debris. Your donation to the Red Cross allows the agency to continue its disaster relief efforts in communities where it is needed the most.
