UPDATE 9:15 P.M.: The missing man has been found. Police say he was in a minor collision, but was uninjured.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department is seeking a 90-year-old man reported missing Friday night.

Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the department, said Jeff Davis, 90, left his home on Fifth Avenue East around 7:30 p.m. Friday, telling neighbors he was going to buy tobacco.

He drove away in a 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis, but did not return.

Taylor said Davis may be suffering from a condition that impairs his judgment, and anyone who has seen him is asked to contact TPD immediately. Officers were searching retail stores around 15th Street and other locations in the area Friday evening.

Mr. Davis is a black male, is 5’11” and weighs around 190 pounds. When Davis was last seen, he was wearing an orange shirt, but police believe he may have pulled on a striped overshirt.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 205-349-2121.
