Flashback Friday: Stereo MCs ‘Connected’

Here it comes, the spotlight for a B101.7 Flashback Friday! This week, we go back a couple of decades to feature the Stereo MCs. Does that group name ring a bell? It may not, considering they are one hit wonder and it is very rare to hear their claim to fame hit song on the radio. The song is 'Connected.' Below is the video to jog your memory and to have the reaction of, 'oh yeah, that song.'

But first, let's have trivia fun to see if you can name the year when 'Connected' was a radio hit.

Here are the hints:
When I looked up the popular TV shows, I completely forgot about Ren & Stimpy. Wow. Also big, all those staged fights on The Jerry Springer Show. Married with Children was a signature show in the early years of FOX. I still watch that show on reruns. It's so cheesy that it's great!

A few movie hints as we figure out the year in this flashback include Aladdin, The Bodyguard, and Wayne's World. Plus, A Few Good Men! This is one of my ALL time favorite movies. It stars Tom Cruise Demi Moore and Jack Nicholson, who is awesome in this flick! I love the part where he says, 'you can't handle the truth.' It has to be the most famous quote from the year in the spotlight.
