The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Wind Advisory in effect for our listening area until 12 a.m. Tuesday, November 29. Sustained winds of 25 to 35 m.p.h will be likely today, with even higher wind gusts possible. High winds can cause tree limbs to fall and can cause greater damage for dry trees affected by the recent drought.

These strong winds come in advance of a series of storms expected to bring a significant severe weather threat to our area tonight through Wednesday; you can read the latest forecast HERE.
