Tuscaloosa’s Fourth Annual Lemonade Day Set for April 27th
Lemonade Day, a nationwide program designed to teach children the ins and outs of entrepreneurship, will return to Tuscaloosa for the fourth year on April 27.
The program first launched in Houston in 2007 and it immediately took off in communities around the country. Tuscaloosa hosted its first local Lemonade Day in 2016, and more than 100 young entrepreneurs participated, raising over $2,300 for the Tuscaloosa YMCA.
Last year, during Tuscaloosa's third annual Lemonade Day, more than 700 children took part.
Thanks to sponsors and donors, registration and participation are free of charge and children who join in the fun will get a free backpack, a workbook that features valuable life lessons and additional swag from local sponsors.
Registration for Tuscaloosa's Lemonade Day 2019 is live now, so check out the event's Facebook Page to sign up today.
If you want to make a donation of your own and help keep Lemonade Day free, you can do so on the event's official website.
Lemonade Day Tuscaloosa is kept free with support from Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade with support from Cadence Bank, Mezrano Law Firm, Chickfila Tuscaloosa South, Bryant Bank and Chicken Salad Chick and Harrison Construction.
