The Top 5 Memorable Meals I Ate In Tuscaloosa In 2019

I have really enjoyed checking out all the restaurants that Tuscaloosa has to offer. Here are my most memorable meals of 2019.

#1

Chuck’s Fish, was actually the very first restaurant I dined at in Tuscaloosa. What an awesome place. I remember the meal like it was yesterday. We started with Spring Rolls and Fried Oysters for the appetizers. Then I was introduced to Chuck’s Salad that was such a unique combination because it had figs in it. My main entrée was the Seared Scallops, farro, roasted vegetables, with a peppercorn cream sauce. By far some of the best scallops I’ve had in quite some time. Be sure to stop by; they are located at 508 Greensboro Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.

I always enjoy going to the Avenue Pub in Downtown Tuscaloosa at 405 23rd Avenue
Tuscaloosa, AL 35401. The main reason I love it there is because of the Jalapeno Cheese Dip. I dream about this dip. Seriously, if you haven’t had it, go immediately. I’ve had the Fish & Chips, Chicken Club, and Bacon Burger. Every time I go, it is beyond delicious.

#3

Taco Mama! Listen, you had me at Taco! The FRESH Watermelon Margarita was like summer in a cup with ice. I’ve had all types of tacos and burritos at Taco Mama Tuscaloosa, and my favorite is the Fat Boy with extra cilantro. You can find Taco Mama at 2104A University Blvd. Tuscaloosa, Al 35401.

#4

Nick’s Original Filet House b.k.a. Nicks In The Sticks located at 4018 Culver Road Tuscaloosa, AL 35401. The meal was EVERYTHING! And I really enjoyed my first Nicodemus. If you want to impress someone, take them to Nicks in The Sticks because they will not be disappointed. Everything is amazing. I was totally blown away by the chicken livers. Whatever you do, get there early because it is a first-come, first-served situation.

#5

Archibald & Woodrow's BBQ, located at 4215 Greensboro Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. My cousin was in town visiting and helping me unpack, and we started craving BBQ. My boss ranted and raved about the BBQ at Archibald & Woodrow's, so we figured we would give it a try. WOW! It was delicious. We got there early and we noticed the place starting to get packed. My cousin was so impressed even got an order of baked beans to take back to Florida!

I am looking forward to creating new dining memories in 2020. If you have any suggestions, direct message me on Facebook, you can reach me by clicking here.
