One artist that has always had a special place in my heart is, Nahko Bear.

Nahko, an Oregon-native born a mix of Puerto Rican, Native American, and Filipino bloodlines considers himself a citizen in service to the planet. Disillusioned by the world around him and inspired by vagabond, Americana musicians and storytellers like Conor Oberst and Bob Dylan, Nahko left home as a teenager in search of adventure and self discovery. Armed with stories, a guitar, and a fierce set of ideals, he set out to bridge the cultural gaps dividing his own psyche.

A friend in Maui introduced me to this amazing artist in the Fall of 2013. His brilliant story telling and guitar playing will put anyone into a state of bliss.

The song that changed my life was, 'Manifesto'.

They sang don't waste your hate
Rather gather and create
Be of service, be a sensible person
Use your words and don't be nervous
You can do this, you've got purpose
Find your medicine and use it
