Last night I was looking for something which had found its way into the deep recesses of my purse. It's like an endless abyss in there. After joking with my significant other about why I feel the need to carry so much stuff with me at all times, I decided to spill out the contents of my purse a la US Magazine. Let's take a look at what's in my bag.

What's in Meg's Purse
Behold, the contents of my purse!

1. My Wallet and Coin Purse: One of these is an authentic Coach product and one may or may not be a knock off. Can you guess which one is the real deal?

2. Hairbrush and Hairspray: I have naturally curly hair which I almost always straighten. You never know when your hair is going to get out of control, which is why I always keep a hairbrush and hair band on hand (I keep the hair band wrapped around the brush handle so I don't lose it). I carry a travel size of my favorite hairspray, Got 2B Rockin' It 4Ever Stylestay. This stuff is so rad; it could withstand anything. If the zombie apocolypse ever goes down, my hair will be ready.

3. Vaseline: I keep an excessive amount of lip balms around at all times (more on that later), but I find myself going back to Vaseline. It's my constant.

4. Baby Powder: Yes; I've used this trial size of baby powder on my little one, but this stuff can be a lifesaver. I'm serious. Let's say it's the end of the day, and you have to be somewhere after work, but your hair is eight kinds of greasy and nasty. Dust your roots with some baby powder, run a brush through, and BAM: you look amazing. Baby powder is a multi-tasking secret weapon, y'all.

5: Excessive amounts of Lip Balm: I have a lip balm addiction. Right now, I am carrying around Dollar General Cherry Lip Balm (because I am ballin' on a budget), Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm, and EOS Summer Fruit Lip Balm.

6. Mountain Dew Kickstart: My new favorite thing--I love the Energizing Fruit Punch. I'd been a devoted coffee drinker since my daughter was born, but then I found Kickstart. It's delicious and it gives me the kick of energy I need to get through my morning.

7. Almonds: My power snack. I get these 100 Calorie Packs at the grocery store. I'm one of those people who is serious about my snacks, okay? I need to have at least two or three a day, and I find that keeping healthy stuff on hand saves me from binge eating a pound of chocolate.

8: Smashbox Limitless Lip Stain and Balm: I use the Berry tint. This stuff is AMAZING. A photographer friend of mine suggested this to me because it lasts throughout any photo shoot. I thought if it could last for a model, it might last for me. I gave it a try, and I love it. This stuff LASTS. I like that you can touch up the stain with the tinted balm, too. It's the most expensive beauty product I buy, but it's worth it.

9. Fork: I don't know what this is doing here. God help me.

10. A Metric Ton of Ibuprofen: I get headaches. A lot. It's the former Girl Scout in me that tells me: Always Be Prepared.

11. Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain and Balm: I rock the FLAME shade on occasion. It's a bit more of a true red than the Smashbox stain, which I like sometimes. This stuff fades pretty quickly--I think it's a good thing, because then my lips have just the right amount of tint. It's that whole "I'm Wearing Makeup But I'm Not Wearing Makeup" look everyone tries to pull off.

12. NUK Pacifier: You never know when you need a backup pacifier. I keep Dolly's B Team Paci inside an empty baby food container I re-purposed as a travel case. How efficient am I?

13. Pen: I don't write checks--like, ever. I always use my debit card. I am one of those weirdos who doesn't like to use the store pen to sign a reciept, so I carry around a pen of my own. (NOT PICTURED: six other pens and two Sharpies. I have a serious problem. LOL)

14: Perfume: I love keeping perfume on hand. A quick spritz of my favorite scent is a mood-booster for me. I like carrying around a travel or sample size of my fave scent instead of a larger bottle. It's easier to carry a travel size, and you don't have to worry about losing or breaking a larger bottle. I'm currently rocking Harvey Prince's Hello, a fun floral scent that reminds me of a sunny spring day.

15: Samsung Galaxy S3: It's not in the picture because I used it to take the picture. I am obsessed with my Galaxy S3. It's the greatest phone I have ever owned. The screen is HUGE. It takes amazing photos and HD video. Its unique functionality actually makes my life easier, which is invaluable. Will got it for me as a Christmas present last year, and I can say it's the greatest gift I have ever received.

16: L'Oreal Infallible Le Gloss: I adore this stuff. I have been using the RED FATALE shade a lot these days. It's an intense, true red; it really helps you pull off that retro pin-up look. A lot of glosses don't last, but this one does. It's great--and there's a tiny mirror on the handle, which is as precious as it is functional.

OTHER ITEMS NOT PICTURED: Galaxy S3 chargers, keg of Purell, 79 cents in loose change, an embarassing amount of crumpled reciepts
