The National Football League is causing some major drama in the off-season. They've decided to ban purses and bags at all of their sporting events this year. No joke. Ladies, you are no longer allowed to bring your purse to the game. Roger Goodell, dude, you have lost your dang mind.

I, like most women--and even some dudes--I know, carry a purse. I have things I need to keep with me at all times--like my 78 tubes of lip balm, my phone, my keys, and more. I carry a lot of stuff in my purse. You could argue that I don't need these things, but I can counter that with an all-caps OH YES I DO.

Roger, did you forget that once a month women need to carry certain hygiene items with them? If women can't bring a purse with them to sporting events, where do you suggest we carry these items? Do you personally want to hold my Tampax for me the next time I come watch a Falcons game?

I think the men over at the NFL have made a huge mistake in banning purses from games. I get what they're trying to do--prevent people from sneaking in weapons, contraband, drugs, booze, or whatever, but why not simply ask game attendees to go through a security check? They do it already, so what gives? If you think your searches are ineffective at finding contraband, then hire better security detail.

Hell hath no fury like a woman denied her handbag, so y'all need to get this sorted out soon. Otherwise me and my purse are staying home and not spending a dime on the NFL. You feel me, ladies?
