Looking For The Easter Bunny In Tuscaloosa? Here Are A Few Places Where You Can Find Him
Easter will be hare before you know it (you see what I did there? "Hare" before you know it!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!). Ok, now where were we?
Oh yeah, Easter will be here before you know it and if you're looking for where the Easter Bunny will be hanging out in Tuscaloosa, then you've come to the right place!
Here are a few Tuscaloosa-area events taking place in with in the next couple weeks, where you can find Egg Hunts, Easter-Themed Events, and in some cases The Easter Bunny himself!
- Children can have can have Breakfast With The Easter Bunny on Saturday March 17th at The Bobby Miller Activity Center, (350 Bobby Miller Parkway). The breakfast starts at 8:30a.m. The cost is $6 per child and $4 for grown ups. Registration is recommended. Following the breakfast, there will be photo opportunities with The Easter Bunny, and Easter Egg Hunts for different age groups. - An Easter Celebration is going on right now at University Mall, (1701 McFarland Blvd). thru March 31rst. with Easter Bunny photo opportunities available! In addition, kids can ride the Spring Express train for $3 while the Easter Bunny is there. The hours are: 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. - Egg the City, featuring 50,000 eggs, will be held from 10 a.m. until noon, March 24 at the track at Tuscaloosa County High School, 12500 Wildcat Drive in Northport. This event features, bounce houses, slides, carnival games, a photo booth, face painting, train rides, popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones. The event is free to the public.
- Midtown Village will be hosting SpringFest, on Saturday March 24th, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the Green, between Barnes and Noble Booksellers and Panera Bread. The event features the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, balloon twisters, inflatable bounce houses and more. Organizers say that the egg hunt is for children between the ages of 3 thru 10. Egg hunters will be separated into age groups: 3- and 4-year-olds, 5- through 7-year-olds and 8- through 10-year-olds. All children must bring their own Easter basket.
- A Community Easter Egg Hunt will also be held on Saturday, March 24th, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the school field at University Place Elementary. (located at 2000 First Ave). The hunt will have 12,000 eggs, food, games and an inflatable bounce house.
- On Sunday, March 25th, Griffin Farms Pumpkin Patch will be hosting an Easter event featuring pictures with the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt. Other attractions include a petting zoo, inflatable bounce houses, a zip line and a rock wall. The hours for this event are from 1-6 p.m. Admission is $6 per person. Griffin Farms is located at 826 Griffin Road in West Blocton, just outside Vance near the Mercedes-Benz plant. Organizers say that Kids must bring their own Easter baskets. - An Eggstra Special Saturday will take place at The Children’s Hands-On Museum, (2213 University Blvd). on March 31 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The event will be featuring Easter games and crafts. CHOM officials say that admission is free for kids younger than 1; $6 for 1- to 2-year-olds; $9 for 3- to 59-year-olds; and $7 for those 60 and older.
