The six-year drought is over.

The Alabama men's basketball team found out Sunday that it was back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012 and landed a 9-seed. The Crimson Tide will take on Virginia Tech in the first round and that game will be played in Pittsburgh. The winner of that game will likely face No. 1 seed Villanova in the round of 32.

Avery Johnson's team picked up two crucial wins in the SEC Tournament over Texas A&M and Auburn to solidify its spot in the Big Dance. The team had dropped five straight to end the regular season and some felt they were on the wrong side of the bubble. But in the end, Collin Sexton and the Tide did what it needed to do.

The time and date will be announced after the selection show.
