Inflation, supply issues and just much, much higher prices are hurting families in Alabama.

Now, we get word on turkey prices going up significantly this Thanksgiving.

That's why the news today in Tuscaloosa on local families being helped this holiday, is bigger than ever.

Make sure you save this news article for the Holiday season for details.

Local attorney, Steven Mezrano, has teamed up with the radio stations of Townsquare Media of Tuscaloosa (95.3 FM "The Bear") for a huge event on Friday, November 18 at 11:00 am.

Alabama families need a hero right now, and Steven Mezrano is coming to the rescue.

Here are the details you need to know:

On Friday, November 18th at 11:00 am, in the parking lot of Crawford Insurance/Tuscaloosa located at 602 Skyland Blvd. East, the first 100 families in line receive a grocery gift card with a $75 value.

Mezrano says this should be enough to provide each family with a large turkey, potatoes, corn on the cob, collard greens and stuffing mix plus cranberry sauce.

According to Mezrano, you should have money left over for other items you and your families desire.

This could be a huge help to Tuscaloosa/West Alabama families this year that could really use a gift like this at the holidays.

Mezrano told me in an exclusive interview that the help for Thanksgiving meals, will NOT be the only time local families will receive his gifts this year.

He made it clear that another event is being planned for Christmas in another location in West Alabama.
