Lessons Learned After 1 Year Of Parenthood
Lessons Learned After 1 Year Of Parenthood
Raising children is hands down one of the most rewarding, yet toughest jobs ever. through the process, you learn so much about yourself and life.
I got to admit, I'm still very new to the world of being a parent but I've hit a huge milestone in the journey. My son will celebrate his 1st year birthday this weekend!
It's truly an exciting milestone to hit. I remember back when he was firstborn. He was just a small baby that couldn't walk, talk, or even move his arms. As crazy as it sounds, I didn't know babies had to learn how to hold their heads up, move their arms, or even grab a finger. I was so shocked!
My wife laughs at me all the time because I'm so clueless about this parenting thing. Through this first year, I've become somewhat of an expert at things so far. Changing diapers used to be a struggle and now I'm a certified pro. I'm still not an expert at giving him a bath like mom though. I have no idea when I'll get to be great at bathtime. We can play in the tub all day, but actually cleaning the baby is a task for me for some reason.
Since I've made it through the very first full year of being a parent, I decided to share some of the lessons I've learned so far. Things that I wish people had told me, and some things people did tell me but I had to experience for myself.
