  1. Symptoms: Many people with chlamydia do not experience any symptoms, especially in the early stages of infection. When symptoms do occur, they can include genital discharge, burning during urination, and abdominal pain. In women, it can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which can cause serious complications.
  2. Testing: Testing for chlamydia involves a simple urine test or a swab of the genitals, rectum, or throat, depending on the suspected site of infection. It's essential to get tested regularly, especially if you have multiple sexual partners or engage in unprotected sex.
  3. Treatment: Chlamydia is typically treated with antibiotics, such as azithromycin or doxycycline. It's crucial to complete the entire course of antibiotics, even if symptoms improve before finishing the medication.
  4. Complications: If left untreated, chlamydia can lead to serious complications, especially in women. These complications may include pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which can cause infertility, ectopic pregnancy, and chronic pelvic pain.

It's important to consult with a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis, treatment, and guidance if you suspect you may have chlamydia or any other sexually transmitted infection. Regular sexual health check-ups and open communication with sexual partners contribute to overall sexual health and well-being.

And if that's not bad enough, we managed to get one city into the top 10. Definitely not the top 10 I ever want to see.

Here are some different types of STDs, just in case some of us didn't know.

Are we just too broke to buy a condom?

Do we just not care?

Maybe it's Covid?

Whatever it is, please stay safe out there.

These STDs are no picnic. Some are painful and burn. Some you will have for the rest of your life. And most importantly some will kill you.

  1. Jackson, Mississippi
  2. Baltimore, Maryland
  3. San Francisco, California
