Info on the 7th Annual Hospice of West Alabama Family 5K Run/Walk

Saturday, Hospice of West Alabama is hosting their 7th Annual Family 5K Run/Walk in Tuscaloosa! This year's event promises to be bigger than ever with more vendors, an Easter egg hunt for the kids and live music!

Kelly Bonner from Hospice of West Alabama says this year's event will feature a whopping 30 different vendors, the most they've ever had. The kids will love the BIG egg hunt, and everyone will be able to enjoy snacks and drinks at the finish line.

The theme for the morning, 'Stars in our Hearts.' At the end of your run or walk, you will be able to get a star to write the name of a loved on and place is on the memorial wall near the finish line. It's really nice way to show how your participation is in honor of loved one.

Both runners and walkers of all ages are invited to take the challenge of completing the 3.1 mile certified course around the campus of the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center and Hospice, located off Loop Road.

This is one of the most affordable races of the year at only $20 for registration. You would be supporting a cause which touches us all, the great work Hospice does in caring for our loved ones.  Plus, for Tuscaloosa Track Club members, this is a Grand Prix race!
