PHOTOS: A Day in Gordo at the Mule Kick 5K + Mule Day and Chickenfest 2016
Here you go, my collection of photos capturing the fun in Gordo, Alabama for the Mule Kick 5K, along with Mule Day and Chickenfest 2016!
This year's Mule Kick 5K directed special attention on a local girl diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis who recently had a double lung transplant. Her name is Libby and we ran to show our endless support! #LungsForLibby!
The Mule Day and Chickenfest also carried the Libby supportive theme, as both events featured the color purple for Cystic Fibrosis awareness.
This year's festival had a little of everything from carnival rides for kids to local performers and lots of food to classic tractors. Even the classic Mayberry squad car was there! You know, the one from the Andy Griffith Show. Walking up to the car carrying the horseshoe I won for placing in the race, I thought why not press my luck with a spin in the car! Well, not really, just pretending for photos. Hey, I did get to sit in it!
Alright, let's get to the photos!
