BBQ & Blue Jeans is a fundraising event held each year by the DCH Foundation to benefit the DCH Help & Hope Patient Assistance Fund.


The event was canceled last year due to the pandemic but plans are in place for 2021 but they'll be doing things a little differently! They're inviting you to join them for a COVID-19 friendly version of the event. Everything will be safely handled to ensure the protection of everyone involved.

The three pieces to BBQ & Blue Jeans include:

  • Online Silent Auction
    • From March 24-28, they'll have items available for bidding through the GiveSmart platform. There is no app necessary for participation. You will receive text updates about bidding throughout the auction! Bidding closes at 5:00 p.m. on March 28, and you can pick up your items at The DCH Foundation.   • McAbee's butt & ribs sales and drive-through
    • They will be selling McAbee Pigfitters famous pork butts and ribs that you can drive through and pick up on March 26th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Water Oaks Farm. Just order yours online, go pick it up, and enjoy! Sides and drinks are not included. Click here to order yours today!
  • Corporate sponsorships
    • Corporate sponsorships for the 24th Annual BBQ & Blue Jeans include a Lunch-In that you can purchase for 10 people for $1,000. The Lunch-In will include 10 boxed lunches from Jim ‘N Nicks, a collapsable tote, stadium cups, koozies, gingham tablecloth and napkins, a wet wipe keychain, hand sanitizer, toothpick set, bibs, nonalcoholic drinks, sponsorship signage, and more! If you're interested, contact Brandt LaPish for information about purchasing.

The proceeds from the event will benefit the DCH Help & Hope Patient Assistance Fund. This fund provides financial assistance to current Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center patients struggling to make ends meet while undergoing treatment.
