Chris Cornell’s Daughter Covers Pearl Jam’s ‘Black’
Former and late front man of Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and Soundgarden has a daughter who is absolutely has a great future ahead of her.
Last week Lollapalooza held a live stream that could've been view on Youtube July 30th-August 1st.
One kick ass act that really blew me out of the water was Chris Cornell's daughter. I feel for the kid because I went through the same exact thing and I know the pain and struggle of over coming something so traumatic and heart piercing. Toni did a cover of Pearl Jam's 'Black'.
A quick one over of the song is here:
Eddie Vedder explained in the Pearl Jam 20 documentary that this song is about first relationships. "The song is about letting go," said Vedder. "It's very rare for a relationship to withstand the Earth's gravitational pull and where it's going to take people and how they're going to grow. I've heard it said that you can't really have a true love unless it was a love unrequited. It's a harsh one, because then your truest one is the one you can't have forever."
Which is pretty ironic with Toni. Her performance wen live on the July 30th around 6PM. I gotta say her cover is pretty friggin good, her tone and composure as a young artist is unbelievable. She has a bright future ahead of her for sure. Check it out here.
