B101.7 Beauty Report: Seven Skin-Savers to Get You Through Winter [PHOTOS]
January is a time for warm blankets, hot drinks, and skin that's as dry as the Sahara. Don't let winter steal your glow; I've got seven skin-savers that will keep you looking and feeling fab--even when the thermometer outside reads LOL.
Seriously--is there anything worse than dry skin in the winter? I don't know if it's the extreme cold or being indoors 24/7, but my lips get chapped, my hands crack, and my face could soak up ten tubs of lotion. It's taken me a while to find the perfect products to ensure you defeat the lack of heat--check them out, and share your faves in the comments below.

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream
I was introduced to this cult fave a few months ago; I received a free sample in an online order from Sephora. Yu-Be Skin Cream is my JAM. I apply it before bedtime, and my skin is STILL soft and supple when I wake up in the morning. When I had surgery last month, the nurse who started my IV was freaking out--she wanted to know what I did to keep my hands so soft. I was like, "Yu-Be, girl." This stuff is magic. I'll warn you--it has camphor as an ingredient, so it has a slight Vap-O-Rubby scent when you first apply it. The scent fades, and then you're left with the best skin ever. Yu-Be Skin Cream is a multi-tasker, too--use this bad boy on your hands, face, even your lips. If there is only one product you buy this January, make it Yu-Be, okay? You won't regret it.

Dr. Jart + Ceramidin Cream
I'm normally an Ole Henriksen gal, but when winter rolls around I break out the big guns: Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream. This is my cold weather moisturizer. It uses some kind of fancy science whatever to ensure that my face stays hydrated for hours. It prevents moisture loss, too--so when I do go outside, it's good to know my cheeks ain't getting chapped. Another reason to <3 Ceramidin Cream: no parabens or sulfates!

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask
It's no secret: I am obsessed with Bite Beauty's Agave Lip Mask. I've tried a gagillion other lip moisturizers. My nightstand, my purse, my bathroom cabinets are all filled with innumerable tubes of lip chaps and gloss and other products that promise to not let the hydration out of my pout, and yet NOTHING works as well as my Agave Lip Mask. Is it a luxury item? Yes. Is it worth every penny? GIRL. It is. Treat yo self.

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
I lived in Kentucky for ten years and unlike Alabama, snow is a semi-regular occurrence there. What product did I turn to when the Bluegrass felt like a desolate tundra? Clinique Moisture Surge, y'all; my skin drank it UP. I really don't understand why people rush to buy bread and milk before snowfall when they should be stocking up on Moisture Surge instead. I mean, you have to eat (I get it), but... just don't forget about your skin.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
If you have the extra cash to spend, I recommend purchasing a tube or two or seventy of L'Occitane's Hand Creams. The Shea Butter Hand Cream is the most intensely moisturizing, but it's nowhere near as decadent as the Almond or Verbena scented ones. Go big or go home, you feel me?

Nivea Creme
You can buy a tin of Nivea Creme for NINETY-NINE CENTS. It's less than a dollar for this lil' miracle worker. I have a tin in my purse and a big ol' tub at home. You can use it to moisturize your face, your hands, your legs, your lips--I even apply it around my nose when I get a cold so I don't look like Rudolph. I mean, it's NINETY-NINE CENTS, y'all. Stock up!

Vaseline
We can't talk about winter skin without mentioning the OG: Vaseline jelly. It is kind of gross texture-wise, but man, does it work. My grandmother puts Vaseline on her skin every night, and her skin is FLAWLESS, okay? Nana's skin care game is second-to-none. She knows what's up. Go get yourself some Vaseline and slather up.
