The Witch his theaters nationwide this weekend, and critics are already hailing it as one of the most terrifying films ever made. I really want to go see it, yet I am terrified from just watching THE TRAILER.

The film tells the story of a New England family banished from their Puritan settlement in 1630. Increasingly strange and sinister things begin to happen to them after their youngest child is abducted, and as these events unfold the film becomes more unnerving. From what I understand, The Witch is abject terror.

The film was even endorsed by The Satanic Temple--a fact that in and of its self is enough to make me question my watching The Witch. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone warns the movie will "scare the hell out of you," which makes me wonder if I am brave enough to see this in theaters, or if I should wait until I can screen it in the comfort of my own home/couch/blankets under which I can cower.

If you're not a total whimp like me, you can catch The Witch at Hollywood 16 Cinemas in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Click HERE for showtimes.
