The Alabama Crimson Tide has reportedly added two future non-conference opponents to the schedule in 2025 and 2028.

Per FBSSchedules.com, Eastern Illinois, an FCS opponent, will travel to Tuscaloosa on November 22, 2025 for a showdown with the Tide and UT Martin, another FCS foe, will come to town on September 16, 2028.

FBSSchedules.com also reports that both games will include significant compensation for the two lower level programs in the form of $560,000 for Eastern Illinois and $500,000 for UT Martin.

EIU, who enters 2022 with first year head coach Chris Wilkerson, is coming off an extremely rough three-year stretch under its last coach, Adam Cushing, where the Panthers won just three games total.

UT Martin is led by the father of Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson, Jason Simpson, who enters his 13th season in 2022. The Skyhawks play alongside EIU in the Ohio Valley Conference, and have seen relative success under Simpson.

In his thirteen years with the program, the southeast native has compiled a 100-80 record and has two FCS Playoff appearances. Last season, UT Martin finished with a 10-3 record and won the conference title for just the second time in the last 30 years.

Also according to FBSSchedules.com, the contracts for both matchups contain what is known as a "good faith" clause, meaning if for any reason the games were unable to be played, they would be rescheduled for a later date.

The addition of EIU to the schedule completes Alabama's non-conference slate for 2025 and UT Martin marks the third non-conference game scheduled for 2028.
