Alabama's reigning Heisman Trophy winning quarterback, Bryce Young, started his junior campaign off with a bang, completing nearly 65% of his passes for 195 yards and five scores in the Tide's 55-0 drubbing of Utah State. He dominated through the air, but also put up a historic rushing night for himself, earning 100 yards for the first time in his career.

If you couldn't tell from Young's outrageous stat line, Alabama won the game, and did so handily, with the former five-star barely even stepping on the field in the second half.

From the opening whistle, Young showed his signature poise and operated the offense calmly, leading the Tide on eight scoring drives. Utah State had no answers for the dominant offensive unit, and were simply unable to do anything to stop a surging Crimson Tide.

Only one player has ever taken home back-to-back Heisman Trophies, but Young looks like a candidate to do this season. His fellow betting favorites, Ohio State's C. J. Stroud (+200) and USC's Caleb Williams (+700), combined for less touchdowns than himself and were not nearly as dominant in their performances.

Young said, after the game, "I just try to do whatever is best for the team, whatever the defense gives me (...) I'm just trying to do whatever I can to move the ball."

Alabama makes the trip to Austin, TX next week to take on the Longhorns as Young looks to continue bolstering his Heisman campaign.
