It's the one day of year that we dedicate an entire morning to creating awareness and fundraising for the annual Kidd's Kids trip to Walt Disney World. A once in a lifetime experience for kids between the ages of 5 and 12, who suffer a chronic or even terminal illness. Your support makes it possible.

This fall sixty (60) kids and their families will join the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show for five amazing days of suspended reality! No hospital visits, no shots, no uncomfortable stares from strangers. Nope. It's all about sheer joy and excitement at Disney World for these kids! The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show will bring it all to you, on the radio, and online. We'll let you know more about it, when we get closer to the trip.

As we talked about on the air today, we understand money may be tight. But, together, we can do the most good. So, if one person donates a couple of bucks, the next person a handful of pennies, and the next a five dollar bill. Soon, we raise a significant amount of money for the cause. That's exactly what happened today at three area Chick-fil-A locations at Tuscaloosa Midtown, in Northport on McFarland Boulevard and the South location on Skyland Boulevard. We started early at 6am, with three street teams made up of volunteers and staff members. Four hours later, we had collected $795.01! Yes, nearly a thousand dollars. Amazing! Especially, when you consider most donations are made online, phone or text. Also, the fact being the average drop-off donation is a few dollars.

There were quite a few listeners who made it a point to come see us to show their support and we love that. Then, you have others who weren't aware of Kidd's Kids and were inspired to donate. Thank you. We invited those people to give the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show a listen, so they could hear the touching stories about what these special kids and their families have been through.

Donations continue to roll in at KiddsKids.com and $10 by text by by texting KIDD to 52000. Donate up to 3 times by text. Tomorrow morning, wake up with The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show to hear more about the grand total collected. So far, we're hearing the numbers are good!

As we wait for the 2014 Kidd's Kids trip, check out this highlight video from last year. It is set to the tune, 'Shinning Like The Stars.' A song from an incredibly talented and friend of the show, Tim Halperin.
