Heads up, Tuscaloosa! The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Wind Advisory for today; wind gusts could exceed 35 mph.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING... * TIMING...WINDS WILL BE GUSTY MONDAY AS STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES TO OUR EAST...GENERALLY FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT THROUGH 6 PM MONDAY. * WINDS...WINDS WILL BE SUSTAINED 20 TO 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGHER ELEVATIONS. * IMPACTS...STRONG WINDS CAN BREAK TREE BRANCHES OR DOWN WEAKER TREES...PARTICULARLY IN AREAS WITH SATURATED SOILS DUE TO RECENT HEAVY RAINS. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
