Tuscaloosa County Now Included in Winter Storm Warning
The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING for much of the state, and the NWS added Tuscaloosa to the portion of warned counties early this morning.
This is an upgrade from the Winter Weather Advisory issued yesterday, meaning that the NWS is now more confident in our being significantly impacted by snow and sleet. You can read the full text of the warning below:

MOUNDVILLE...MARION 409 AM CST FRI JAN 6 2017 ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST SATURDAY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW AND SLEET...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST SATURDAY.
