Winter Storm Warning
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service suggests Tuscaloosa is on track to receive the greatest amount of snowfall from the upcoming winter storm.
WINTER WEATHER HAZARDS
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for our listening area through 12 am tomorrow (Saturday, December 9), and the National Weather Service in Birmingham has now upgraded several counties to a Winter Storm Warning.
WINTER WEATHER SAFETY TIPS
Most of our listening area is currently under a Winter Storm Warning now through 9 a.m. Saturday, and we want to make sure you know what to do during this time of sleet, snow, and freezing rain.
WINTER STORM WARNING [VIDEO]
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect until 3 p.m. this afternoon; Tuscaloosa and Jefferson counties are now included in this warning as sleet, ice, and freezing rain begin to affect Alabama.
School Closings and Delays
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Tuscaloosa and parts of Alabama, and several schools and businesses have announced closures in advance of the approaching winter storm. Check out the list below.
WINTER STORM ON THE WAY TO TUSCALOOSA
Tuscaloosa could see over an inch of snow and sleet and up to 1/5 inch of freezing rain and ice as a winter storm makes its way across the state tonight through Wednesday. A Winter Storm Warning is already in effect until midnight Wednesday night.
