Tuscaloosa, Alabama Church Hosts Free COVID-19 Vaccine Event
St. Paul Baptist Church located at 3501 Stillman Boulevard next to Stillman College will be hosting a drive-thru to administer COVID-19 vaccinations, as well as COVID-19 testing this Saturday, September 25th, 2021 from 9:00, am to 12:00 noon.
The recently approved booster shots will be available as well for all of those who fall within the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidelines. Currently, the CDC recommends a Pfizer booster shot for anyone at the age of 65 or older and to anyone ages 50 to 64 with any underlying health conditions.
It has been stated that people age 18-49 with an underlying health condition may benefit from the Pfizer booster shot. It has also been noted that those between the ages of 18-64 who are at a potentially increased risk for COVID-19 exposure or transmission due to their job or living environment may also benefit from the booster shot. The Pfizer booster shots should be administered at least six months after the completion of the first shot series. Vaccines that haven’t yet received any recommendations regarding booster shots are the Johnson and Johnson and Moderna Vaccines.
