This Tuscaloosa Restaurant Has an Insane Steak Challenge
Do you have what it takes to eat what is literally THE biggest steak in town?
I was scrolling through my timeline a moment ago and did a double-take when I saw that a local restaurant is doing one of those "if-you-eat-it-then-it's-free" steak dinner challenges like the one John Candy does in The Great Outdoors and the one Billy Bob Thorton Does in Waking Up in Reno.
I have seen restaurants featured on Triple D (shoutout to the Mayor of Flavortown and my heart, Guy Fieri) and--real talk--I have always longed for the chance to take on a big hoss steak challenge.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that I can throw down the gauntlet in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Raised on Country Burgers and Grill, located on University Boulevard in downtown Tuscaloosa, is now offering their own steak challenge.
You have 45 minutes to eat a FIVE POUND ribeye as well as a loaded baked potato, rolls, and asparagus. If you think of just the steak alone--you have to eat an entire POUND of steak every SEVEN MINUTES. If you can't clean your plate, then you have to shell out $69.
Hey y'all January 23rd Saturday night starting at 5 we're going to be doing the 5 lb steak challenge going to come with...

Could you do it?
I don't know if I have what it takes, y'all. I love steak and I think I MIGHT be able to clear like half of this food (at great personal cost later) BUT as a full-blooded Type A competitive freakshow, I want to start starving myself now so that I can complete the challenge this weekend.
