The Color Run is Coming Back to Tuscaloosa

The Color Run, the race which calls itself the 'Happiest 5K on the Planet,' has made plans for a return to Tuscaloosa this Fall!.

Last year's first Color Run in Tuscaloosa drew thousands for the thrill of being sprayed with different colors while running the course. It's a wild concept and a party atmosphere. There are so many people who don't normally run races, do this! Young and old come for color. I still have a few spots on the shoes I wore that day. We brought the B101.7 van to one of the spray stations set along the course, it ended up being covered as much the people going through. The van went through a major cleaning afterwards, yet to this day you can still find hints of red powder. Well, it serves as a reminder of the great time we had!

This year's race is once again presented by the Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports Commission and will be held Saturday September 7th at Sokol Park. The Registration begins Wednesday May 15th.
