Success, Are You Willing To Pay The Price?

The concept of success usually comes at the end of some type of struggle. If it came to you easy, everybody would be experiencing it. When it comes to success, there are no shortcuts or reduced prices. The value of anything is determined by the price you are willing to pay for it. When you really value something, you will not jeopardize it because you remember how you got it and what it cost you What are you afraid of today? Failing? Your actual concern should be the opposite - regret that you did not try. Are you afraid of criticism? Face it head-on as you advance upward in life certain people will resent your success; that is true whether you are arrogant or not.  We all desire to be liked, but at some point you must ask yourself what are you willing to give up in order to be liked and accepted? Nehemiah in the Bible, the builder of Jerusalem's walls, said "I am doing a great work so. . .I cannot come down". Any time that you defer to the wishes of people instead of the will of God, you are "coming down." My advice is that you should stay on the wall! Keep doing whatever God has called you to do. Advancement often brings isolation and criticism, and God may be grooming you this very moment for a new level of blessing by exposing you to both. Can you handle it? Unfortunately, not everyone can. However, if you're the kind of person who can't sit by and watch while others play the game - go for it! God will certainly reward each and every step of faith you take and every sacrifice you make.
