The National Weather Service in Birmingham released a special weather statement affecting Tuscaloosa County Monday evening.

Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southeastern Tuscaloosa County through 7:30p.

Threats:

Winds in excess of 40 mph.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
