Alabama Parents Beware: Popular Kid’s Drink Being Recalled
With kids headed back to school in Alabama, many parents are concerned about keeping their kids safe.
COVID-19 is always a top concern, but recently it's Monkey Pox that's threatening the safety of our children.
But, there is now a major recall on a popular beverage that hundreds of kids across the state could potentially consume.
Major food corporation Kraft Heinz recently voluntarily recalled the flavored juice drink Capri Sun due to certain drinks being found to contain cleaning solutions.
According to a press release from Kraft Heinz, approximately 5,760 cases of Capri Sun Wild Cherry are being recalled.
The "Best When Used By" date on the affected products is June 25, 2023.
The press release states that the contamination was discovered only after consumers complained about the taste of the drinks.
If you've purchased the affected product, Kraft Heinz is warning that you do not consume the product. You can return it to the store where it was purchased.
You can receive reimbursement if the product has been recalled by contacting Kraft Heinz from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, at 1-800-280-8252.
This isn't the first time a popular kid's item has been recalled in Alabama.
Back in May, the FDA issued a recall for Skittles due to the potential presence of thin metal strands embedded in gummies or loose in the bag.
The table included over a dozen variations of gummies including:
- Skittles Gummies Original Stand Up Pouch
- Starbust Gummies Original Share Size
- Life Savers Sour Gummies
- Life Savers Wild Berries Gummies
- Skittles Gummies Original Stand Up
- Skittles Gummies Wild Berry Stand Up
