Severe weather is once again in the forecast for Alabama, as the National Weather Service in Birmingham is warning residents of the potential for damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes on Sunday.

Areas south of Interstate 20/59 have been placed under an Enhanced Risk for storms Sunday afternoon and into the evening hours, the primary threat of which will be tornadoes, damaging winds of up to 70 miles an hour, and ping pong ball size hail. Points north of 20/59 have currently been placed under a slight risk for storms, and threats include quarter size hail, damaging winds of up to 60 miles an hour, and tornadoes.
