Severe Storms Possible This Afternoon
There is a chance for severe storms south of Tuscaloosa this afternoon. The National Weather Service in Birmingham has placed the southern half of the state under a marginal risk for severe storms this afternoon and into the evening. Damaging winds of up to 60 miles an hour will be possible with these storms.
Thunderstorms in Tuscaloosa are expected to be under severe limits. Those planning to attend the Zac Brown Band need to know that umbrellas are prohibited in the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. You can bring a poncho or a rain jacket.
