Paradise Presses Play, Vol. 5!
Welcome back to Paradise Presses Play! This week we don our detective hats for a trip back in time to solve multiple crimes in 1940s Los Angeles.
This week's choice is none other than LA Noire!
Story: It's 1947 in Los Angeles. World War 2 has ended, and Cole Phelps has joined the police force after serving in the war. After a faithful day where he is caught up in a crime in progress and manages to catch the culprit, Phelps begins his rise in the LAPD. Players will control Cole throughout his whole career LAPD, with all the ups and downs it brings. The culprits are out there, and it's up to you to figure who did it.
Gameplay for LA Noire is pretty straightforward. You are called to crime scene and quickly explained as to what happened. From a simple kidnapping, to catching a serial killer, the story of LA Noire brings many twists and turns you will need to somehow predict and control. Thankfully for us, the game has some amazing technology to help us out.
LA Noire's ground breaking cameras capture every single facial expression the actors portray. From sadness, to happiness, to signaling that the person you're questioning is hiding something, everybody is hiding something on the path to truth.
Through audio cues as well, players will be able to know when they've found a clue, or when they've guessed correctly in response to a question. If you've ever wanted to be detective, virtually of course, now's the time to do so.
The game has been re-released on Xbox One, PS4, and Switch. Enjoy your time in LA, you don't know how long it'll last!
