New Report Ranks Alabama 4th WORST State In Which to Live
The Yellowhammer State may have made a name for itself nationally when it comes to football and political scandals, but a recent report shows Alabama is actually one of the WORST states for its residents.
U.S. News & World Report recently released its rankings of each state in our nation. States were graded on things like health care, crime and corrections, infrastructure, government, education, opportunity, and economy. Here's more from the report:
More weight was accorded to some state measures than others, based on a survey of what matters most to people. Health care and education were weighted most heavily. Then came the opportunity states offer their citizens, their crime & corrections and infrastructure. State economies followed closely in weighting, followed by measures of government administration.
The top five best states in which to live are Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Washington.
