The Alabama A-Day spring football game in Tuscaloosa sure does wet the appetite for things to come in the fall. Not just football games, but the entire gameday experience in Tuscaloosa! See my photo album from checking out the sights.

Let me say, I'm oh thankful the rain stayed away. I'm sure the rain threat did keep some away from traveling to town. The reported attendance for the game was around 65,000. Thankfully, the dry weather made it possible to walk around from The Strip, to the stadium and The Quad. One thing is for sure, you get your exercise trying to take it all in.

Ah, lots of tents were set up around the stadium with tables overflowing with free stuff! Awesome! Yes, even this radio guy who normally hands out stuff, likes to receive freebies. Who doesn't? Oh, and food samples, bring it! Pizza bites, sausage snacks, I'll try it! The real crowd was in line to welcome former Bama great, Dont'a Hightower. The talented linebacker now plays for the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. Roll Tide to that, as the Pats are my favorite NFL team.

Over at Denny Chimes, on "The Quad" was a pep rally featuring the heavyweights of spirit, Big Al, Alabama Cheerleaders and Million Dollar Band! Roll Tide!

The real main attraction, no doubt is the game. How fun to be able to walk into Bryant-Denny Stadium free of charge and grab the seat of your choice. You know what I say that? Roll Tide! It was fun seeing the 2015 squad in action. Coach Saban seen sporting the salmon sports coat, pacing around and waving his arms at the players. A great coach pushing his players to be their best. Good stuff.
