Whether you kept a close eye on the amazing stuff that happened this week or not, I tried to pay attention and wanted to share some of the best!

First things first, Lucero have a new song out! My favorite band is releasing their ninth album Among the Ghosts on August 3rd. They've been previewing songs from the album in concert since the Fall 2017 tour but we're now getting the recorded audio leaked to us generously. For My Dearest Wife was release a few weeks ago and now Long Way Back Home, which I've included below.

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit announced they were releasing Live From the Ryman on Oct. 19th!!! The recordings will cover the band's sold out shows in 2017 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Isbell and the 400 Unit have sold out 14 straight shows at the Mother Church of Country Music and just announced they'll be back for 6 more on October 22-24 and October 26-28, 2018!

Next up, New West Records have released the debut from super duo Arthur Buck, a collaboration between singer/songwriter Joseph Arthur and R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck. Three songs have been posted on their record company's YouTube channel over the past few weeks and It's done nothing but excite me for the release of the record TODAY!

IHOP changed their name to IHOB this week but that's what put it on my best list. I'm still laughing at Wendy's Twitter response to the name change and IHOB's decision to start focusing on burgers. LOL!

Lady Legs1

It's been out for a few weeks but I finally got my hands on the new record from Birmingham's Lady Legs and so far it's one of my favorite releases of 2018! They play jangly college pop that's equal parts hooky and overly exciting! I'm probably looking most forward to seeing these guys at Sloss Fest next month. They'll be on the Seasick Stage on Saturday, July 14th starting at 3:30 pm. Check out their Holy Heatwave record for yourself and check out the video for Real Thing below.

And lastly, Robert De Niro, Robert De Niro. Haha!!!

Have a great weekend!
