Road closures will affect all lanes of the Jack Warner Parkway in Tuscaloosa Friday and Saturday, and drivers will have to take an alternate route. 

The USA Triathlon's Collegiate Club and High School National Championships are being held this weekend. Participants traditionally compete in an event consisting of swimming, biking, and running; however, increased traffic on the Black Warrior River has changed the event in Tuscaloosa to a duathlon consisting of running, biking, and running.

Contestants will run along along the Tuscaloosa River Walk and bike along the Jack Warner Parkway up the Bryant Bridge towards Rice Mine Road.

The Jack Warner Parkway will be closed from the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater to McFarland Boulevard from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 27. Traffic will be flowing on McFarland Boulevard; however, drivers will not be able to access Jack Warner Parkway.

The Jack Warner Parkway will be closed from the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater to the Bryant Bridge from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Bryant Bridge will also be closed from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Jack Warner Parkway will close again from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. from the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater to McFarland Boulevard.
