Tuscaloosa Oktoberfest Seeking Volunteers
The Tuscaloosa Oktoberfest is seeking volunteers for the annual fall festival next weekend.
Visit Tuscaloosa is looking for fifteen volunteers available between 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. next Saturday, October 28. The organization said that volunteers would be able to help out with the following duties:
- Setting up and breaking down the festival
- Assisting with festival admissions
- Running the VIP Area (from noon-2 p.m.)
- Miscellaneous tasks throughout the day
Those interested in volunteering can sign up on the Oktoberfest website. Volunteers can also sign up directly with this Google form provided by the organization.
Volunteers can select the time slots they are available on the form above. Visit Tuscaloosa said they are looking for about 15 more volunteers. They specifically noted they are looking for two or three more volunteers for festival set-up and break-down.
The assistance will not go unrewarded, though! Volunteers will receive free entrance to the festival, a volunteer shirt, food, non-alcoholic drinks, and more.
The festival itself will last from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Visit Tuscaloosa described the Oktoberfest as a “Bavarian extravaganza” enriched with traditions of Germany that family and friends can enjoy.
“From traditional bratwurst and pretzels to German beer, a Dachshund Dash, and more, there’s something for everyone… including the kiddos,” said the organization.
For adults, general admission tickets will cost $10 per person. The Oktoberfest also offers VIP tickets for $75 that will give extra perks and VIP access to guests. Kids 12 and under will get in for free. All tickets are available for purchase on their website.
