Alabama has already swung once at its head coaching search, with the Crimson Tide reportedly having been interested in Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning.

Among conflicting reports about Lanning's location and his interest in the Alabama job, the Ducks' head coach tweeted out a video with the end of the video saying"I'm not leaving..."

According to Brett McMurphy of Network, Alabama shifted to Mike Norvell as the top target.

Mike Norvell may have put to rest those rumors. Amidst the smoke surrounding Alabama's job, Norvell put out a simple tweet that may have forced Alabama to adjust their search.

Is that a declaration of his loyalty to Florida State? Maybe not.

Alabama offensive lineman Terrence Ferguson has committed to Florida State. Ferguson, a 6-foot-4 322-pound offensive lineman, was a redshirt sophomore when he entered the transfer portal.

Norvell references "#Bigman" in his tweet, meaning he could just be talking about Ferguson's commitment. However, he talks about the future of Florida State football, which could be a confirmation of his future and staying at Florida State.

If Alabama has now struck out on Lanning and Norvell, a couple of names that could be involved in the coaching search include Texas Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, or Georgia Bulldogs defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann.

The University of Alabama will be making several phone calls and interviews while searching to replace former Alabama head coach Nick Saban. Tide 100.9 will have coverage all across the board.
