Gordo Dominates Pickens County in 2023 “Eight-Mile War” [PHOTOS]

The "8-Mile War" between Gordo and neighboring Pickens County High School continued its historic run in 2023 with the Green Wave leading the charge. (Photos below)

Gordo moves to 5-1 with four games remaining on the year. Pickens County on the other hand, who finished the 2022 season with a state championship appearance, adds its second loss of the year (4-2).

All hope is not lost, however, as the Tornadoes were 7-3 in the regular season before making the 2022 deep run in the playoffs.
