Four Tide Soccer Players Named All-SEC

For the second straight season, the Alabama soccer team had three players named to the First Team All-Southeastern Conference Team. This year's honorees are Gianna Paul, Felicia Knox and Gessica Skorka, who all  earned the honor, the SEC office announced Sunday. Also, Nadia Ramadan was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team after an outstanding rookie season.

Alabama now has had 17 First Team All-SEC honorees, while Ramadan became the 19^th Crimson Tide freshman to earn the nod. Overall, the Crimson Tide has had 64 selections for all-conference honors in its history.

Felicia Knox is considered one of the top midfielders in the country and has tallied six assists this season, ranking her fourth in the SEC. For her career, she has recorded 31 assists ranking sixth nationally.

Knox ranks second on the team in points scored with 14 after adding four goals to her season resume. She also ranks second in the SEC and 23^rd nationally in game-winning goals after scoring the winning shot against then-No. 17 Memphis, Mercer, Auburn and LSU.

Gianna Paul is the leading goal scorer and point holder for the Tide and has posted shots in eight different games this season while adding an assist for 17 points. She scored a goal in three of the Tide’s four matches againts ranked teams, finding the back of the net against No. 17 Memphis, No. 3 North Carolina and No. 23 Georgia.

One of Coach Wes Hart's top offensive threats, Paul ranks third in the conference and 34^th nationally in shots on goal, averaging 3.63 a game and ranks fifth in the SEC in both goals (8) and shots on goal per game (1.47).

Gessica Skorka plays on the backline, yet she still ranks second on the team in assists with four this season as she has tallied three assists in SEC play, which includes assisting the game-winning goal versus LSU and Ole Miss.

As part of the defense, she has helped Bama shut out seven teams this season while limiting 10 teams to three or less shots on goal while starting every game for the past two seasons.

Nadia Ramadan wasted no time making an immediate impact with the Tide, scoring four goals in her freshman year to rank second on the team in total goals and added an assist in her first-ever collegiate game for nine points on the year.

Ramadan scored against three conference opponents, netting a goal against Kentucky, Auburn and LSU. In SEC games she has found the back of the net on three occasions, ranking 10^th in the conference for goals scored in league games.
