With the Gulf getting pummeled this season, I was looking for a way to help out the communities of Orange Beach and Lake Charles. I found a great Gofundme that would like to benefit the southern seaside states.

We are currently experiencing one of the most active Atlantic hurricane seasons on record. With 20 named storms so far, we must brace ourselves for what’s to come.

After making landfall as a Category 4 hurricane, Hurricane Laura’s intense winds ravaged the Texas/Louisiana coastline and threatened to flood parts of the state. The powerful storm has left extensive damage in its wake, from fallen power lines to damaged properties to chemical fires.

Similarly, Hurricane Sally battered southern Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. After making landfall as a Category 2 hurricane, the storm flooded entire neighborhoods and left 500,000+ residents without power. Water rescues are currently underway but hazardous debris and live wires have significantly slowed the process.

As we react in the aftermath, emergency relief efforts are underway to help those impacted, from locating survivors to erecting temporary shelters to offering medical services.

Join us in supporting hurricane victims today. They need our help more than ever. When you make a contribution to the Hurricane Relief Fund, you are supporting a wide range of needs and organizations related to hurricane relief efforts.

With donations made to this fundraiser, GoFundMe.org, the nonprofit and charitable arm of GoFundMe, will issue grants to individuals, organizations, and communities that have either been impacted themselves or are dedicated to helping those affected by hurricanes.

Funds raised on this campaign will be managed by GoFundMe.Org, an independent non-profit organization registered in the United States (EIN 81-2279757). Donors support the GoFundMe.Org fund and GoFundMe.Org selects and then distributes donations to verified GoFundMe campaigns and aid to organizations that help those affected. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
