How Does Katy Perry Lip Sync Fail Rank Among the Most Awkward and Embarrassing Moments?

Katy Perry won't forget a most embarrassing lip sync fail at the NRJ Music Awards in France. Here's what happened, the music starts and look Katy's lips don't match the words of the song. Whoa! It's really bad lip syncing. It gets worse. The show's host runs on stage and Katy moves the mic to her side. However, the music and more importantly, the singing continues. Katy moves the mic back to her face and then it stops. She is then asked to start over. She agrees, but this time it is live and the singing doesn't match up very well. The show has since apologized for the technical glitch. It was layers of fail. So awkward.

Ouch, that stings. What is your most awkward/embarrassing moment? I have one to share. A few years back UCP of West Alabama hosted their own charity version of 'Dancing with the Stars' at Shelton State Community College.  I agreed to participate.  Sure there were rounds of practice sessions working out the steps and the timing. Flash forward to the big event, it was time. A big crowd was gathered. Here we go. To the dance floor. Music starts. Step, step, wait... wrong step, out of sync. Umm. Start sweating profusely! It was a matter of seconds, but felt like a lifetime. In this nervous eruption, my mind was going blank on this routine. I was ready to run for the hills! I began to improvise and it was crazy. I attempted to make the awkwardness a part of the planned performance. Somehow the judges gave me 1st place. Did they really enjoy it or was it sympathy? Who knows.

I lived to see another day and so has Katy. What about you?
