If you're looking for a break from the blistering heat, we've got bad news for you: heat indices are expected to reach 109 again today and tomorrow.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Heat Advisory in effect until 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 21. Tuscaloosa's forecast calls for a high temperature of 100 degrees, and that high temperature coupled with a high dew point will create almost unbearable heat. The full text of the advisory is as follows:

...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT TUESDAY...

* TEMPERATURES...HIGHS 94 TO 100 DEGREES.

* HEAT INDEX...MAXIMUM VALUES 105 TO 109 DEGREES.

* IMPACTS...INCREASED RISK OF HEAT-RELATED ILLNESSES INCLUDING HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS...IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN POSSIBLE...RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR EVENING. KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE. WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN POSSIBLE AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.

TO REDUCE RISK DURING OUTDOOR WORK...THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDS SCHEDULING FREQUENT REST BREAKS IN SHADED OR AIR CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENTS. ANYONE OVERCOME BY HEAT SHOULD BE MOVED TO A COOL AND SHADED LOCATION. HEAT STROKE IS AN EMERGENCY...CALL 9 1 1.
