Hey's it's the 5th of May or Cinco de Mayo. Heat up the tacos and pour the margaritas, it's fiesta time! But, have you wondered, what are we really celebrating?

Some will say Cinco de Mayo is Mexico's Independence Day. Hey, now that's big a deal, right? The problem is, the independence day is September 16th. What today commemorates is the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla.   It's a relatively minor holiday in Mexico and much more significant day in the U.S.

This sounds familiar, Americans taking a holiday to a much bigger level than its origin country.  Think St. Patrick's Day.  Hey, who doesn't like a good party?  Happy Cinco de Mayo!  Ole!
