The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Freeze Watch for numerous counties in Alabama, many in our coverage areas. This will take place from late Thursday night through Friday morning. Roughly 1 am until 9 am Friday.

What you need to know:

There could be sub-freezing temperatures as low as the middle 20s across the Northern counties to the lower 30s across the Southern counties.

These frost and freeze conditions could damage crops, outdoor plants, and unprotected outdoor plumbing.

The counties covered in this Freeze Watch include:

MARION-LAMAR-FAYETTE-WINSTON-WALKER-BLOUNT-ETOWAH-CALHOUN-CHEROKEE-CLEBURNE-PICKENS-TUSCALOOSA-JEFFERSON-SHELBY-ST. CLAIR-TALLADEGA-CLAY-RANDOLPH-SUMTER-GREENE-HALE-PERRY-BIBB-CHILTON-COOSA-TALLAPOOSA-CHAMBERS-MARENGO-DALLAS-AUTAUGA-LOWNDES-ELMORE-MONTGOMERY-MACON-BULLOCK-LEE-RUSSELL-PIKE-BARBOUR.
