The ever changing pandemic is still a very clear and present danger to Americans. The cases continue to decreasing in West Alabama however its still important to get tested.

We need to stay safe and continue to wear our masks, wash our hands, practice social distance, stay at home and hand sanitize as much as possible. Getting tested for COVID-19 is important for you, your family and the local community until we defeat this pandemic.

The Maranatha Seventh Day Adventist Church is teaming up with the American Medical Screening, Inc. to provide a FREE COVID-19 testing event. The event will offer walk up and drive-thru services for you. The testing will be held Sunday February 21, 2021, from 12:00pm until 3:00 pm.  Maranatha SDA Church is located on 2614 Herman Avenue in Tuscaloosa right behind Tuscaloosa Career & Technology Academy (the old Westlawn Middle School)

Dr. Roscoe Shields Jr. of the church encourages everyone to attend the event to get tested especially if you feel you have symptoms. The African American community and other minorities are at greater risk due to preexisting conditions. It is vital to eat healthy, drink water, exercise, get regular check ups and social distance during the pandemic to fight COVID-19.

If you do not have insurance its no problem! All are welcome to test and no appointment is necessary. You just need a photo ID and insurance card if you have medical insurance.

For more information on testing contact the Maranatha SDA Church and the American Medical Screening at 256-50-COVID.
