Former Braves Great Andruw Jones Will Be in Tuscaloosa on Saturday
Former Atlanta Braves star Andruw Jones will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.
The new Julio Jones Kia on Skyland Blvd is bringing in the slugger for two hours on Saturday and it'll be your chance to meet one of the greatest players in Atlanta Braves history. Bring your cameras for pictures and an item to get autographed and head out there on March 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Jones didn't get earn a spot in the Hall of Fame earlier this year, but he received enough votes to remain on the ballot in 2019. That means he still has a chance to make it to Cooperstown.
Anyone that watched Jones play in the late 90s and 2000s remember his incredible defense in center field, but it was his offense that made waves early in his career. As a 19-year-old rookie in 1997, Jones became the youngest player to hit a home run in the World Series when he hit two in game 1 against the Yankees.
